On May 20, 2000, Adam Vant Hof was near the end of his senior year of high school and anticipated graduation. At a friend's cabin in the Brainerd Lakes Minnesota area, he jumped in a canoe with a couple of friends. The canoe subsequently capsized and Adam drowned in the 55-degree water. In a matter of a few minutes, Adam departed from this earthly world and the lives of those who knew him would be forever changed.

Adam had a passion for life. He was an accomplished student, soccer and hockey player with a great work ethic and non-stop energy. He loved music, weightlifting, girls, cars, and having fun. Adam was a unique, strong, compassionate, and special young man, yet the most typical 18 year-old, with invincible beliefs and sometimes an 18 year-old's poor judgment. As we discovered after his death, Adam had ability for making countless and diverse friends. His attributes included determination, compassion, honesty, and a sense of humor that drew people to him.

This web site is dedicated to Adam's memory and those who love him.
