 Memorials
Immediately after Adam's death, his friends set up a vigil in a neighborhood park. For three days and nights his friends found solace by remembering their departed friend and comforting each other.
Adam's memorial service was held in the largest church in Minnetonka to accommodate the capacity crowd of 900. His father, his long-time soccer coach and a favorite teacher gave tributes and four of his best friends eulogized him at the service. Music was a prominent part of Adam's life and to commemorate his love of it, I Know You Rider, Fire and Rain, Let it Be, Here Comes the Sun, and Adam's Song were played. Although Adam left us before his time and will always be missed, the memorial service and the remembrance of his life are a celebration of his eternal spirit.
Adam's body was laid to rest at Resurrection cemetery in Shorewood. Memorials and plaques were also established at other places in the Minnetonka and Eden Prairie community:
- Park benches and accompanying oak trees in Purgatory Park and near his home.
- A memorial plaque in the new Pagel Ice Arena commemorating Adam's many years in hockey.
- Weightlifting equipment and a memorial plaque in the weight room of the Pagel Ice Arena.
- A beautiful granite and marble bench residing in the Minnetonka High School library.
